I hope that you all have been having a wonderful summer. today I want to share about what has been one of my highlights since I’ve been back home in Tampa Bay - BURN on Bay Street! this is an event hosted every month from 9 - 10 a.m. by International Plaza, featuring a unique fitness class hosted by one of their stores! so, let’s recap my last two events and get you to come out to the next one!
let’s talk vitamins!
hi friends! today I’m going to be sharing with you all about vitamins and supplements - what they are, what they do, and what I take! it is important to recognize that while taking vitamins or supplements is not necessary to achieve health, they can be used to help achieve a more optimum health if one area of your body just needs a little extra tlc ;)

staples of the upper body pull
hi friends! today I’m sharing my upper body pull workout with you all. ‘pull’ workouts can strengthen the muscles that comprise our back, biceps, and forearms. outside of direct muscle engagement, pulling exercises can improve posture, balance, and and overall mobility. since most of us spend a lot of time sitting at desks for school and work, these types of exercises can be extremely beneficial!
change is good
time for a return to the blog - better late than never right? as I write, I am back in my hometown, enjoying a nice break from the college life! this semester was a tough one, but great friends, fun times, and keeping my future goals in mind helped make it all worthwhile. now, it’s nearly 2023, and like many of you all, I am thinking, what lesson did I get out of this year? there’s so many things that I experienced, and so many lessons that I learned, but if I had to choose one thing to fully embody in 2023, I’d choose this - change is good…

#SWFLStrong
hi friends! today I’m writing to you all about something very near and dear to my heart - Hurricane Ian and the aftermath on the community of Southwest Florida. as many of you know, I currently attend Florida Gulf Coast University, and that area has truly become my home away from home...
provision and protection
hi friends! it has been a minute since I’ve taken to the blog, I’ve been keeping busy with traveling and spending time with friends + family this summer, but I am so excited to be writing this message today! I hope that in reading this blog about God’s provision and protection, you feel encouraged, loved, and ready to receive the great things that you deserve.

2022 reset
hi friends! happy new year! I’m a few days late but it still counts for something right?
it has been a busy, exciting, and emotional december. the holidays always give us all the feels, and then just like that, we’re catapulted into a whole new year. I think that the new year is normally happy, but there’s also a twinge of sadness about it. if you had some hardship, loss, or anything like that in 2021, you may have struggled with deciding the role it would play in your 2022.
God is always with us.
a tale of heartbreak, chick-fil-a, and best of all, hope…
Today is December 1st - the start of the last new month of 2021. Firsts of the months are always full of reflection, but even a little more so today. December means the end of a lot, but also signals the close arrival of a brand new year. 2021 was a mixed up year, maybe even more so for me than 2020 was - there was a lot of joy and a lot of pain. Either way, each moment has brought its lessons.
be kind
happy world kindness day! of course I try to practice kindness each and every day, but today was extra special. I’m home for the weekend, and I surprised two people very near and dear to my heart with some flowers. catching up with them warmed my heart, and reminded me that even in today’s trouble and turmoil, there is still good people in our world. in light of the holiday, I wanted to share a piece of writing that I drafted recently, titled “revelation in ignorance.” check it out below…
a week in my life
hi friends! I know it’s been a few weeks since I’ve hopped on here, so that’s why I thought it’d be perfect to return with a “week in my life” blog, showcasing this past week of mine! side note, can we believe that it’s november already? absolutely insane! of course all my weeks are different, some more boring than others, definitely some more busy than others, but either way, I try to make the most of mine - I hope you can too!
what does mental health mean?
like the title of this blog suggests, what does mental health mean? many see the word mental health as an interchangeable term for mental illness, but that is not the case! mental health, defined by the World Health Organization, is "a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community." these last few months, my mental health has been tested more than I ever thought it would as a young adult, yet that's something that many people may not recognize. much of life happens outside "the world’s view" of social media. those moments where you're just alone with your thoughts can be incredibly challenging, but they don't always have to define you. seeking help when you need it and putting your self first should be recognized every day, not just today.
flex your wings!
here’s something short and sweet, an arm workout to help you flex your wings! when I tell you that a few weeks ago, I couldn’t to a basic bicep curl without my arm feeling like it was going to fly out of its socket, I’m not exaggerating. now, I’m able to get through this circuit with some nice 10 pound dumbbells! progress people, progress! it may not always be pretty, but it is always worth trying. happy lifting my friends! :))
group fitness classes
hi friends! today I want to share with you all about something I’ve become more active in recently - group fitness classes! while running has been my primary form of exercise, I wanted to integrate some different types of fitness into my routine. check out this post to read more about why you join group fitness too!
even in our grief, the sun will rise again
today I’m sharing about the most real, raw, and vulnerable time of my life.
my latest blog post shares about my past month, as I’ve coped with death of my best friend and tried to remember that even in grief, the sun will rise again.
I encourage you all to read it, and take away that you should be kind, hug your loved ones tight, and make every moment matter.
you grow girl! or guy ;)
